Phase 3 - Almost there…
It’s now been 7 weeks of construction, painting, making furniture and the list goes on.
What started out as basically an empty shell has now been totally transformed.
Remember this?

and the shop looked like this:
Well, things have changed, just a bit.
The Shop side has transformed into this to a blank canvas:

Now there is something to work with…
Obviously there is a need for a reception desk and then of course there’s the ‘Herb bar’, shelves, etc.
Well the first task was to construct a reception desk

Not quite finished, but apart from some final touches it’s well and truly getting there.
Now for the herb bar…

…a work in progress.
But the shop is only one area that Susan & I have been working on.
Susan has been painting, painting, painting and then did a bit more painting. She painted over 500 square meters of walls, ceilings and floors - and that’s just one coat. Susan not only undercoated everything, but put as many as 3 coats of topcoat on many of the walls and the floors… What a job.
This is just a small sample of her work - this will be the waiting room…

It is still missing the final clear finish, the skirting boards and of course the architrave around the door, but you get the idea.
Well, for now that’s the latest update, more is to follow very soon
