About Kurrajong Natural Medicine Centre

The primary health care professionals at the Kurrajong Natural Medicine Centre are Danny & Susan Siegenthaler. Between them they have over 50 years of practical and clinical experience in their respective fields of expertise.

Both have Bachelor Degrees in Environmental Biology and are experienced research scientists. In addition, they each have acquired several degrees in traditional forms of medicine including Western herbal medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, Acupuncture, Medical Aromatherapy and Remedial body therapies.

Susan and Danny are members of the ATMS (Australian Traditional Medicine Society), Australia’s largest natural therapies association.

Susan Siegenthaler

Susan has trained with both Denis Stewart and Dorothy Hall as a medical herbalist. Over the years, Susan gained additional qualifications as a medical aromatherapist and has specialised in the areas of Women’s health and Reproductive problems in Women.

Susan has also taught many students in herbal medicine and aromatherapy. Apart from owning her own Natural Therapies Collage, she has taught for Nature Care, TAFE and a number of Australian Universities. Over the years Susan has trained many students, many of whom are still in practice today.

Danny Siegenthaler

Danny is a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine. He graduated from the NSW College of Natural Therapies in 1985, after completing his internship at the Red Cross Hospital in Hangzhou, China.

He was the clinical director of Manunda Natural Therapies Centre in Cairns and taught a range of subjects at Northern School of Traditional Medicine.

As practitioners of natural medicine, Susan and Danny have operated several successful clinics in Australia and established the Northern School Of Traditional Medicine in North Queensland in the mid 1990s. The School was the largest of its kind in the north Queensland region and Susan and Danny are proud of the high quality and dedicated practitioners that they trained.

Both Susan and Danny continue to enjoy teaching and are currently involved in teaching first year Biology at the University of Western Sydney.
